Coronation 1909

The Virgin of the Head was canonised on April 23, 1909, according to decree of pope Pius X named the patron saint of Andújar on 18 march of the same year.

To commemorate such a unique and significant event is called a Floral Games, theatre, bullfights, music concerts, religious events, conferences, etc.

The act of coronation took place on the paseo de Colón, where he was transferred to the image; that he had arrived days earlier from his sanctuary and was deposited in the parish of Saint Mary. The VII centenary

In the period 1927-1928, organized important activities in Andújar to commemorate the seventh anniversary of the appearance or discovery of Ntra. Lady of the Head.
